Kid Cudi Sentenced to Community Service in Drug Bust

This past Friday (September 24), Kid Cudi pled guilty a misdemeanor drug possession charge and was ordered to participate in community service.




According to TMZ, Cudder pled guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. The plea stems from a June arrest in New York during which the Ohio native broke a woman’s door off of its hinges and was found with what was initially reported as liquid cocaine.



Cudi, however, clarified in the new XXL that it was powder cocaine that he was found with—not liquid. “There was no liquid,” he said. “It was just powder. It was in a glass jar, a vile. People [said], ‘It was in a jar, so it must have been liquid.’ It’s just people not knowing about drugs.”



The G.O.O.D. Music artist also admitted in the story that he used to use cocaine regularly to help him get through interviews. He has since stopped, he says.

Today is Lil Wayne's 28th birthday and in case you haven't been paying attention the last few years, birthdays are kind of a big deal for Weezy F. Baby.




While it's safe to say the Young Money CEO gets cake everyday—even as he sits behind bars on Rikers Island awaiting his release in early November, he's releasing his digital album, I Am Not A Human Being, today—he typically pulls out all the stops to celebrate his born day.



From lavish extravaganzas in exotic cities to briefcases filled with money, no expense is spared when it comes to making sure the self-proclaimed "Best Rapper Alive" enjoys the best birthdays ever. To prove that point, RapFix tracked down some of the best birthday gifts Wayne has received from Cash Money CEO (and Wayne's "daddy") Birdman and others in recent times.

The Gift: A super-exclusive black-and-white party aboard the three-story Biscayne Lady yacht in Miami

The Thought: Clubs are overrated. At least, that was the thinking when Cash Money threw Weezy a VIP party aboard a yacht back in '07. Rather than pack the VIP section at a club in Miami, Weezy and a handful of very important friends—including Diddy, T.I., Slim Thug, Juelz Santana and, of course, Birdman—climbed aboard the Biscayne Lady for four hours and enjoyed blackjack and roulette tables, an indoor pool table, an open bar and a birthday cake modeled after a white Rolls-Royce Phantom.

The Year: 2008

The Gift: A Louis Vuitton briefcase filled with $1 million cash

The Thought: What do you get for the guy who already has everything? In Wayne's case, you get him a nice tall pile of cold cash. That's what Birdman decided to do for Weezy's 26th birthday when he surprised his "son" by handing him a briefcase during a party at Club Mansion in Miami that featured an ice sculpture filled with frozen $100 bills. Surrounded by celebs like DJ Khaled and Akon, Wayne opened it to reveal the $1 million gift.

The Year: 2009

The Gift: A $1 million diamond-encrusted Chopard watch, a $200,000 Chopard black diamond chain and a birthday cake covered in real diamonds.

The Thought: With Wayne staring down at an inevitable prison sentence in the near future, the Cash Money/Young Money family decided to help him take his mind off it last September by throwing him a small shindig. Birdman—who has Wayne's birthday (9-27-82) tattooed on his left bicep—presented him with several pieces of expensive jewelry and a one-of-a-kind cake to celebrate the occasion.

I hope that you all are well and as always, thank you thank you thank you for the endless love and support. I think by the time you all read this I’ll be 28 years old… feeling ancient in this b#tch! On that note, I do encourage you young people to enjoy your youth. And for the old heads like me, enjoy your life. Everyday!



As for me, I’m good. Awaiting freedom patiently. People often ask does the days feel longer now that the time is getting shorter… I say that there’s 24 hours in everyday. But honestly, I can’t fxckin’ wait! Sorry. Anyway, I’m still playing UNO. Still doing pushups and such, by the way, please don’t expect me to come out looking any different. I’m the same little ‘ol me. Also, I’ve been trying to get as much rest as I can because I know I won’t when I’m out of here. Wait, Aaliyah’s “Let Me Know” just came on the radio! “At your best, you are love”… and I try to always be at my best, for you.



I only listen to slow jams and ESPN. Shoutout to Keith Stewart and Dr. Bob Lee on WBLS, and Lenny Green on KISSfm. That’s all I listen to, other than sports. Oh and if you haven’t heard the new song by Eric Benet, “Sometimes I Cry”, please stop what you’re doing and check it out. Well, after you finish reading this. It’s the best song I’ve heard since Maxwell’s “Woman’s Worth”. It’s for grown folk. I actually listen to the radio all day waiting for that song. Anyway, so back to my fans, you are the best in the world. When reading those letters, you never cease to amaze me with your love. I am forever grateful.



So my kids are perfect. I miss them like crazy! Reginaé, you are the angel of my life. Kam, you are amazing. Neal, you are my little wonderful meatball. And Lil Tunechi Jr., you are so me. City, I am so you! I love my family and I thank them for the support during this time. It’s almost over. To my YMCM family, you are the fxckin’ best! Uhh Nik, I am jealous of you and Drizzy, but it’s cool! Ha ha. I miss you all and keep killin’ ‘em. I love y’all.
